Cycling’s a great way to discover your local area and improve overall health and wellbeing.
But don’t worry if you’ve not got a bike, haven’t ridden for a while, or want to learn to ride – we’re doing lots of things to help make cycling fun for everyone:
- Offering free expert-led training and group rides with sessions for total beginners, those wanting to get back on the saddle, and people riding adapted bikes
- Helping you borrow a bike and safety equipment such as helmets and locks
- Registering bikes, plus giving tips on how to maintain and securely store them
- Holding family fun days and cycling events in the community

Seacroft Wheelers
Includes all riders that are interested in improving their fitness and cycling skills. As well as social rides most Sundays, the club organises several racing and time-trialling events in different disciplines, and works with other local clubs to support events that promote cycling in West Yorkshire.

Non-standard cycles make cycling accessible to all, whatever your personal challenges. There are a wide range of bikes that suit people with a variety of learning and physical disabilities, as well as health issues. Sessions are delivered by Active Leeds with a variety of bikes including quads, trikes, hand cycles, mountain trikes, bucket seat duel cycles and tandems.

Experience Community is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company that helps disabled people access the outdoors through a range of inclusive walking, cycling, conservation and arts activities. They are interested in building communities of like-minded people, so they provide group sessions so that people can make new friends and learn from each others’ experiences.

Cycling UK’s, Cycle for Health Course, is an 8 week instructor led course to help you develop bike riding skills, confidence and activity levels through cycle training and led bike rides. Each course is run over 8 weeks with 2 hour weekly sessions.
